Yes. cPanel with Web Host Manager (WHM) is available with every VPS plan. You get the flexibility of a real Linux server (root + SSH) and the operator-friendly tooling that runs most of the web (cPanel + WHM).

AlmaLinux 64-bit is the default and what most VPS customers run. AlmaLinux is the production-grade RHEL-compatible distribution that replaced CentOS for most cPanel deployments. CloudLinux is available as an OS upgrade on the same hardware (recommended if you plan to run multi-tenant reseller workloads). Other AlmaLinux versions and configurations are available on request, just open a ticket before deployment.

Yes. Because KVM gives each VPS its own kernel, you can install custom kernel modules, compile your own kernel, or run a different kernel version than the host. Most customers leave the kernel at the AlmaLinux default and only customize specific modules; either approach works.

The VPS infrastructure (KVM isolation, dedicated IP, TLS, firewall, audit logging, on-site hardware ownership, drive chain-of-custody) supports the technical and physical safeguards that healthcare workloads ask about. However, Ultra does not currently offer a Business Associate Agreement (BAA), and a BAA is required for full HIPAA compliance. The network edge filters volumetric DDoS at the carrier level, and CSF on the VPS itself rate-limits suspicious traffic, soft-blocks port floods, and integrates with the LFD daemon for brute-force protection. Automated backups are not included with the VPS plan by default. Every VPS includes full root and SSH access to configure your own backup workflow: rsync to a remote host, snapshot-based replication, your preferred third-party backup service, or JetBackup as an optional managed add-on. Yes. Every VPS includes a dedicated IPv4 address. Additional IPv4 addresses are available on request (for SSL termination on multiple bare domains, separate mail-server IPs, etc.). IPv6 blocks are also available on request.

Yes. cPanel + WHM include the standard cPanel mail server stack (Exim + Dovecot + SpamAssassin), with full DKIM, SPF, and DMARC support. The dedicated IP means your mail-server reputation is yours alone, not shared with other accounts. Heavy outbound mail workloads should still warm up the IP gradually and follow standard deliverability hygiene; our team can help.
