Ultra Web Hosting runs an internal SMS alerting program that notifies our operations team by text message when one of our servers stops responding, so we can act on outages quickly. This page describes the program, who receives messages, how people opt in, and how to opt out.

1. Program name and purpose

The program is called Ultra Web Hosting Server Alerts. Its only purpose is operational: to send automated text-message alerts to our own team when a production server goes offline or stops reporting. These are service and account-related notifications. We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages through this program.

2. Who receives these messages

Messages are sent only to Ultra Web Hosting's own operations personnel who are responsible for maintaining our servers. This is a small internal group. We do not message the general public, customers, or any purchased, rented, or third-party contact lists through this program.

3. How you opt in (consent)

Enrollment is express and opt-in. A team member opts in by texting the keyword JOIN from their own mobile phone to our program number. Each JOIN is logged with the sender's number and a timestamp, creating a per-person record of consent. On receipt, an automated reply confirms enrollment and states the program name, message frequency, that message and data rates may apply, and how to reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. No one is added without sending JOIN themselves; consent is never pre-checked or assumed, and there is no automatic or bulk enrollment.

4. Message frequency

Message frequency varies and is event-driven. Texts are sent only when an outage is detected, which is infrequent, typically only a few messages per month.

5. Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Ultra Web Hosting does not charge for these alerts.

6. How to opt out or get help

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you will receive a confirmation and no further texts. Reply HELP for assistance. You may also ask the administrator to remove your number. For questions, submit a support ticket.

7. Privacy

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
