The rate you sign up at is the rate you renew at.

Most hosts lure you in with a cheap first term, then quietly raise the renewal invoice. Ultra does not. We price by billing term, and every term renews at the same rate you started on. Plans from $3.95/month, no renewal price increase, on hardware we have owned since 2002.

Term-length pricing, not intro-then-renewal pricing, so the rate never resets upward.

Why your hosting bill usually jumps in year two.

The discount-hosting industry runs on a familiar model. A host advertises a very low first-term rate, sometimes only if you prepay for two or three years up front. That intro rate is designed to win the sale. Then, when the term ends, the price resets to a much higher "regular" rate at renewal, often three to four times what you paid the first time around.

Ultra works differently. We use term-length pricing, not intro-then-renewal pricing. The rate you see is tied to the billing term you choose, and that rate does not reset upward when the term renews. There is no cheap first year waiting to spring a higher invoice on you later.

Rate lock

Same price at renewal.

No first-year tease, no tripled year-two invoice. The term you choose renews at the same per-month rate, for the life of the account.

Longer term, bigger discount, and the rate you pick is the rate it renews at.

How Ultra's pricing works.

Ultra gives a term-length discount: the longer the term you choose, the larger the discount, so the 3-year term carries the lowest per-month rate. There is no separate "intro" price hiding behind it. Whatever term you pick, that is the rate it renews at, again and again.

Here is what each plan starts at on a 3-year term, and what it renews at:

Plan Starts at (3-year) Renews at Best for
Ultra 1x$3.95/mo$3.95/moMost sites
Ultra Unlimited$6.95/mo$6.95/moUnlimited sites
Ultra Unlimited Pro / WordPress$9.95/mo$9.95/mo3x CPU, WordPress-tuned

No row changes at renewal. The starting rate and the renewal rate are the same number, by design.

The candor is the point. Here is exactly what flat renewal covers, and what it does not.

What this does and does not mean.

  • Longer terms cost less per month. Month-to-month billing is the highest per-month rate, and the 3-year term is the lowest. All of them renew at their own same rate, with no increase. Flat renewal does not mean every term is the same price, it means each term keeps its own price.
  • The promo coupon and free domain are first-term perks. The 30% new-order promo coupon and the free first-year domain on annual and longer plans apply to your first order, not to renewals. We state that limit plainly. Your underlying plan rate still does not go up at renewal, the welcome extras simply do not repeat.
  • Flat renewal is the standard rate. It is not a discount you have to re-qualify for or re-negotiate each year. You do nothing and the price stays put.
  • The Ultra Price Guarantee is a separate promise. Beating a comparable competitor plan by 10% is a different offer from flat renewal pricing. One is about matching a rival's price at signup, the other is about never raising your own rate at renewal.

A stable bill is the start, not the whole pitch.

More than a predictable invoice.

A flat renewal rate matters, but it is not the only reason to host with us. We run owned Dell hardware we have operated since 2002, backed by US-based in-house support with a roughly 12-minute average first response. Every plan rides on cPanel and CloudLinux, with free SSL and free migration included, and a 45-day money-back guarantee if it is not the right fit.

FAQ

What customers ask about renewal pricing.

The questions our sales team gets every week. If yours isn't here, drop us a line.

Does Ultra Web Hosting raise prices at renewal?

No. Each billing term renews at the same rate you signed up at. If you buy the 3-year term at $3.95/month, it renews at $3.95/month. There is no low first-term rate that jumps to a higher regular price in year two, which is how most of the discount-hosting industry operates.

What does renewing at the same rate actually mean?

Ultra prices by billing term, not by an intro-then-renewal model. Whatever term you choose, that per-month rate is what you pay again when the term renews. We do not reset you to a higher list price at renewal.

Why is month-to-month billing more expensive per month than the longer terms?

Longer terms carry a larger discount, so the 3-year term has the lowest per-month rate and month-to-month billing has the highest. That is a term-length discount, not an introductory teaser. Whichever term you pick renews at that same rate, so a longer term locks in a lower rate for longer.

Is the 30% new-order discount a renewal trick?

No, and we state the limit plainly: the 30% promotional coupon applies to your first order only and is honored at signup, not at renewal. It is a one-time welcome discount on top of an already-flat renewal price, not a first-year rate that resets higher later.

How much does hosting cost, and what does it renew at?

Ultra 1x starts at $3.95/month on a 3-year term and renews at $3.95/month. Ultra Unlimited is $6.95/month and Ultra Unlimited Pro, which is also our WordPress-optimized plan, is $9.95/month, each on a 3-year term and each renewing at the same rate. There are no setup fees on shared plans.

Do you also match competitor pricing?

Yes. Separate from our flat renewal pricing, the Ultra Price Guarantee beats a comparable shared hosting plan from an established competitor by 10%. See our price guarantee page for details.
